When considering a home inspection, it is very important to use a licensed inspector. Effective July 1, 2010 the State of Florida passed legislation requiring all home inspectors to be licensed by the state. As of July 1, 2011, all home inspections are required to be done by a licensed inspector. Once this bill was passed, I promptly took the test and have already received my Florida home inspection license (license number HI 215).

I am also a State of Florida Certified Building Contractor, and have been for over 25 years (license number CBC 028050). To become a licensed contractor, it is necessary to continually prove one's experience, ability and knowledge of construction to the state. Not all home inspectors are licensed contractors, so there are things I will know to look for that are not on a standard home inspection check list. Hopefully this will bring you some extra peace of mind. A proper home inspection could save you money in costly repairs and alert you to potential future problems.

I would like you to know that I will be personally involved in every "CBC" home inspection. I am licensed and insured and take pride in every job. I am a member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and HIF (Housing Inspection Foundation). I am also a graduate of Allied Business School of Home Inspection, and Past President of ASA (American Subcontractors Association) of South Florida.

With your home inspection, you will receive a detailed report including photos. This report can be mailed or e-mailed to you, usually within a day of the inspection.

For a typical home, my prices range from $200 to $400 depending on the size, age, style, and location of the home. The cost of a large home could be more, but the average cost for inspecting most of the homes in our service area is about $300.
